As the Talimkatora Stadium in Delhi hosts the ‘Bharat Aam Mahotsav 2025’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent his heartfelt wishes in a letter.

"It is heartening to know that the Union Minister of Agriculture, Shri Arjun Munda, has made extensive efforts over the years to organise this grand festival to highlight the diverse varieties of Indian mangoes, their medicinal properties and export potential," the letter read.

Undersigned by PM Modi, the letter further read, "India is known globally for the diversity, taste, and quality of its mangoes. With favourable soil, climate, and a rich farming tradition, our farmers have played a vital role in making Indian mangoes a symbol of our culture, taste, and agriculture. The ‘Bharat Aam Mahotsav’ is a commendable initiative to promote this diversity and to encourage awareness and innovation in mango farming and processing."

"In recent years, under the guidance of agricultural scientists and with the cooperation of farmers across the country, many advanced mango farming techniques have been adopted—like high-density planting, organic cultivation, use of solar dryers and minimal processing units. These developments are helping increase productivity, reduce post-harvest losses, and provide better income opportunities for farmers," it further said, originally written in Hindi.

In his letter, PM Modi also said that along with domestic consumption, the demand for mangoes and processed mango products is rising rapidly across the globe. "By expanding food processing infrastructure and adopting efficient supply chain practices, India can make a mark in international markets. Our farmers, entrepreneurs, and startups are working in this direction and have already made significant achievements," he wrote.

While referring to the mango festival, he wrote, "This event is a strong step in that direction. Through exhibitions, technical discussions, farmer interaction programs, and buyer-seller meets, this Mahotsav is providing important knowledge about quality production and market opportunities for mangoes. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to everyone participating in and contributing to the ‘Bharat Aam Mahotsav 2025’. Best wishes for continued success in this endeavour."
