Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during a joint press briefing with UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer in Aylesbury, England, expressed condolences to the families of UK nationals who lost their lives in Ahmedabad plane crash on June 12.
The press conference was held after the much awaited India-UK Free Trade Agreement was signed on Thursday.
PM Modi said, "Among the people who died in the accident in Ahmedabad last month, there were many UK nationals as well. We express our condolences to their families."

He added, "People of Indian origin who live in the UK act as a living bridge in our relations. They did not just bring curry from India but also creativity, commitment and character. Their contribution is not restricted to just the economy of UK but is also reflected in the culture, sports and public service of the UK."
On June 12, a London-bound Air India flight crashed into the boys hostel of a medical college just seconds after takeoff from the Ahmedabad airport. All 242 onboard, including several UK nationals, except one passenger, were killed in the deadly crash.
