The Monsoon Session of Parliament begins on Monday.
The much-anticipated Monsoon Session of Parliament will begin today. In a surprise move, the government on Sunday indicated its willingness to discuss issues linked with the Pahalgam terror attack, Operation Sindoor and the ongoing special intensive revision (SIR) of poll-bound Bihar’s electoral rolls -- all key demands of the Opposition – during Parliament’s monsoon session beginning today but without committing to any timeline for these debates.
The government has prepared a list of topics that will be discussed during the one-month-long session. However, there are certain topics that the Opposition has also raised during an all-party meeting that was convened on Sunday, which the Centre is likely to add to the list of discussions during the session.
