As campaigning intensifies ahead of the first phase of assembly elections, addressing an election rally in Bihar's Arrah on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi attacked the Congress over Operation Sindoor in the aftermath of Pahalgam terror attack on April 22 in which 26 people were killed.
PM Modi said "explosions were happening in Pakistan, yet it was the Congress royal family that lost [its] sleep."
Hailing the government for its handling of the terror attack, PM Modi said, "Modi has also said that India will now enter the terrorists’ homes and eliminate them. Recently, Operation Sindoor took place, tell me, did we not once again fulfill our guarantee?"
In a veiled attack on the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and the Congress, he said, "explosions were happening in Pakistan, yet it was the Congress royal family that lost sleep. Even today, Pakistan and the Congress’s prince have not been able to recover from the shock of Operation Sindoor."
PM also claimed that the Congress was "never willing" to accept Tejashwi Yadav as the chief ministerial candidate but acceded to the demand when the RJD put a "katta" on its head.
The PM tried to fish in the troubled waters of the INDIA bloc in Bihar at a rally in Arrah, the headquarters of Bhojpur district.
He predicted a record victory for the ruling NDA, which would continue providing a government that was "upright" and "foresighted" and build a "developed Bihar" that was necessary for "Viksit Bharat".
