Pahalgam terror attack: Protests, candle marches held as India mourns death of Kashmir tourists

Protest, candle marches held in India after Pahalgam terror attack

Days after the brutal killing of at least 26 people, including tourists, in Pahalgam in the Kashmir Valley, several parts of India witnessed candle marches and protests to mourn the deaths of those killed and to express anger at the terrorist attack.

People in Chandigarh gathered together to protest against the attack. They held placards and demanded justice for those who died in the terror attack in the valley.

Students of the Government Degree College for Women in Anantnag in Kashmir and conducted protests through the town, while condemning the attack.

"We strongly condemn this terrible act. We just want to say that terrorism doesn't have a particular religion, and we, as common Kashmiris, stand for peace and will always stand for peace. We strongly condemn what has been done. We are very sorry for this, and this doesn't represent Kashmir. This doesn't represent us," a student participating in the protest said.

In Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya, people held up posters and demanded justice for the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack, while carrying out a candle march.

In the national capital, Delhi, the Khan Market Trade Association also carried out a candle march to express condolences to the fallen heroes of the Pahalgam terror attack

The BJP Yuva Morcha in Bhubaneshwar also carried out a march
