An Indian gangster wanted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for ordering a shooting in Portugal, according to a Facebook post from a handle purportedly belonging to him.

The gangster, identified as Randeep Malik alias Randeep Singh, alleged he targeted the hideout of rival gangsters Romi and Prince in Lisbon after they ignored his warnings to stop their “illegal activities.” A video claiming to show the firing incident in Odivelas, a suburb of Lisbon, has also surfaced online.

“The firing that happened today in Odivelas, Lisbon, Portugal was done by me, Randeep Malik, and the Lawrence Bishnoi gang,” read the post, which further warned Romi and Prince to stop drug smuggling operations or face more violence.

This marks the first major gang war linked to Indian crime networks on Portuguese soil. The local police in Lisbon are investigating the incident.

Malik’s post also carried a chilling list of slain gangsters’ names, including Ankit Bhadu Sherewala, Jitendra Gogi, Goldie Dhillon, Kala Rana, and others.

The Bishnoi gang has expanded its violent footprint overseas in recent years, carrying out attacks in Canada, including firing at comedian Kapil Sharma’s café, and eliminating rivals like Sonu Chittha and terrorist Sukha Dooni in 2024.

Malik himself was detained by US Immigration authorities last month but later released. His name has also been linked to the 2024 Chandigarh twin blasts outside clubs owned by singer Badshah and local businessmen, for which Goldy Brar claimed responsibility.
