The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday carried out raids across eight locations in Pulwama, Shopian and Kulgam districts as part of its probe into a “white-collar” terror module linked to the car blast near Delhi’s Red Fort, officials said.

Searches were conducted at the home of Moulvi Irfan Ahmad Wagay in Shopian, who investigators say played a key role in radicalising and recruiting members of the module busted early last month. Wagay was arrested by police in October, and the NIA took him into custody last month after taking over the blast case, which left 15 people dead and several others injured.

Teams also raided Koil, Chandgam, Malangpora and Samboora in Pulwama, all locations connected to individuals suspected of having ties to those involved in the Delhi car explosion.

In addition, the agency searched the residence of Dr Adeel Ahmad Rather, who was arrested in Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur in the first week of November as part of the ongoing investigation.
