Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Friday took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said "he is not a big problem".
While addressing a 'Bhagidari Nyay Sammelan' of OBCs at the Talkatora Stadium, Rahul Gandhi asked, "Do you know what the biggest problem in politics is?" Someone from the audience responded: "Narendra Modi."
He then said that after meeting PM Modi two to three times, he has understood that the Prime Minister was not a "big problem." He went on to say, "Dum nahin hai" (he doesn't hold that much power).
Narendra Modi isn't such a big problem, It's the Media that has blown him out of proportion.I hadn't met him before. Now I have met him 2-3 times times and realized that he is just a show. —LoP Rahul Gandhi pic.twitter.com/62HdIAeNzc — Mohit Chauhan (@mohitlaws) July 25, 2025
"Narendra Modi isn't such a big problem, It's the media that has blown him out of proportion. I hadn't met him before. Now I have met him 2-3 times and realized that he is just for show, doesn't hold that much power," Rahul Gandhi said.
The Congress MP further targeted the Centre over what he called the underrepresentation of deprived and marginalised communities in India's bureaucracy.
"Dalits, backward classes, tribals, and minorities together make up nearly 90% of the country's population. But when the halwa was being distributed after the budget was prepared, there was no one representing this 90%. It is this 90% of the population that forms the productive force of the nation," he said.
