Pahalgam terror attack

Around 12 tourists were injured in a dastardly terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam on Tuesday. Latest reports say that casualties are feared in the attack with the government rushing in special forces to the region. As per the early reports, unidentified gunmen attacked the tourists who had gone to the area for a trekking trip.

According to a PTI report, an eyewitness recounted grim details of the attack over a phone call. The woman, who has not been identified so far, reportedly said that her husband was shot in the head.

TV reports say that the gunmen had asked the names of the tourists before the attack. Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah expressed anguish over the terror attack. “I’m shocked beyond belief. This attack on our visitors is an abomination. The perpetrators of this attack are animals, inhuman & worthy of contempt. No words of condemnation are enough. I send my sympathies to the families of the deceased,” Abdullah said in a post on X.
