Monsoon session of Parliament: Kharge seeks clarity on Operation Sindoor, Nadda says govt ready for discussion

Responding to the Congress president, BJP President JP Nadda asserted that the government is ready with all answers and will lead the discussion on the operation as and when the matter is taken up in the House.

Stepping up its demand for a detailed discussion on various aspects of Operatin Sindoor, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge sought answers on India's response to the Pahalgam attack.

Speaking in Rajya Sabha, the Congress leader said at the time of the crisis all parties extended unequivocal support to the government as it was a situation of national security. However, the citizens are well within their right to know about the broader details of the operation.

Responding to the Congress president, BJP President JP Nadda asserted that the government is ready with all answers and will lead the discussion on the operation as and when the matter is taken up in the House.

The Monsoon Session of Parliament began on Monday with Prime Minister Narendra Modi present in the Lok Sabha as the House convened for the first time since Operation Sindoor. He urged Members of Parliament to uphold the spirit of national unity in the House. He acknowledged political differences and noted the need for collective alignment when it comes to the nation’s interests.

The PM also reiterated that in Operation Sindoor, the Indian military achieved all its objectives, neutralising terrorist hideouts within 22 minutes by striking deep into their territories.
