On the resignation of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Arvind Sawant says, "This is very shocking, because in the morning he came to the house, and from his body language, he was not looking tired... Suddenly, he gave his resignation, citing health. But the silence of the BJP is saying many things. This is the second-highest post, and he resigns by citing health issues. It doesn't seem right nor believable...."

The Rajya Sabha on Tuesday was informed about the Ministry of Home Affairs’ (MHA) notification regarding the resignation of Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar, with immediate effect.

President Droupadi Murmu has accepted the resignation of Jagdeep Dhankhar as the Vice President of India. Her approval has now been sent to the Home Ministry, and a notification on the same will be issued soon.

Lok Sabha speaker called to adjourn the house minutes after convening Tuesday after members of the Opposition continued their protests seeking a discussion on the Pahalgam terrorist attack and the foreign policy occurrences in the aftermath of Operation Sindoor. Opposition MPs submit adjournment motions to discuss electoral rolls revision in Bihar

Meanwhile, Congress MP Manickam Tagore also submitted a notice this morning to move an adjournment motion in the Lok Sabha under Rule 56, seeking a discussion on the Election Commission’s ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar.

Tagore described the revision exercise, which began on June 24, 2025, as a matter of "urgent public importance," citing its far-reaching implications for the democratic process ahead of the Bihar Legislative Assembly elections scheduled for November.

AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, this morning, submitted a Suspension of Business Notice under Rule 267 in the Upper House, seeking a detailed discussion on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists in Bihar.
