Operation Sindoor showed how far Make in India has fared, says Ashish Sood

Ashish Sood, Delhi-NCT’s Minister for Home, Power, Urban Development, Education & Training, lauded government public sector undertakings (PSUs) for their significant contributions to India’s defence sector and their pivotal role in the success of Operation Sindoor.

"How our Make in India has fared has been seen by the people of the country during Operation Sindoor," Sood said, speaking at Powering Bharat, an event organised by Network18 in collaboration with Moneycontrol, News18 India, and CNBC Awaaz.

He remarked that the success of the BrahMos missile reflects India’s progress on the path to becoming a developed nation.

“The success of BrahMos is a sign of India moving towards becoming a developed country", he said

Sood also praised public sector undertakings such as Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) for their contributions, especially in the area of unmanned aerial systems.

“Government PSUs like HAL have proven the success of Made in India drones,” he said. “Without these, how would our defence mechanism have fared?”
