Speaking at a rally in Bhuj, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Pakistan was shaken by India’s strong response and resorted to sending drones to border areas, including Kutchh.  Recalling 1971 war, PM Modi said,  Pakistan was rattled after India's response. They sent in drones to the regions along the border, including in Kutchh... The brave women of Kutchh defeated Pakistan's propaganda when they repaired the Bhuj runway in 72 hours during the 1971 war... Those women came to me and blessed me, and they also gifted me a sindoor plant. It will be planted in the PM House.

Speaking at the Bhuj rally, PM Narendra Modi says, "Our policy against terrorism is that of zero-tolerance. Operation Sindoor made our policy crystal clear. Whoever will make us bleed will see a similar response. At no cost will they be spared. Operation Sindoor is a mission to save humanity and end terrorism... We waited for 15 days to see if Pakistan would take any steps against terrorism, but probably, terrorism is their bread and butter. When they did nothing, I gave our armed forces a free hand..."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to lead a roadshow in Bhuj shortly. During his visit, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for development initiatives valued at approximately Rs 53,400 crore.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has apprehended a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel, Moti Ram Jat, on charges of espionage. He is accused of leaking classified national security information to Pakistani intelligence officers. According to the agency, Jat had been involved in this activity since 2023, actively passing sensitive details to Pakistan’s intelligence network.

NITI Aayog has released a report titled "Designing a Policy for Medium Enterprises," which highlights the performance and strategic role of medium-sized enterprises. The report emphasizes their significant contribution, accounting for 40% of the total exports from the MSME sector.

During a meeting of the Parliamentary Consultative Committee on cross-border terrorism, members inquired whether the government intended to uphold the Indus Water Treaty or if its continuation was merely symbolic. According to sources cited by ANI, the government responded that the treaty is currently in abeyance and assured that Members of Parliament would be briefed on the steps to be taken moving forward.

Addressing the Dahod rally in Gujarat, PM Modi asserted that when the Pakistani army showed boldness, the Indian army responded strongly.

NCP-SCP MP Supriya Sule, leading the Group 7 parliamentary delegation to Qatar, said the Gulf nation has reaffirmed its commitment to a long-standing strategic relationship with India and a firm stance against terrorism.

Speaking to the media on the sidelines of the delegation’s visit today, Sule said the Qatari government had given "reassurances of zero tolerance against terrorism" and expressed solidarity with India in opposing terror attacks globally.

"In every meeting we've had during this visit, the Qatar government has reiterated its commitment to fighting terrorism. They have assured us that any terrorist attack anywhere in the world will be condemned, and that both Qatar and India stand united in opposing such acts, especially those that target innocent civilians," she said.

Describing the visit as "extraordinarily successful," Sule praised the Qatari leadership for their hospitality and emphasized the deepening ties between the two nations.

"The relationship between Qatar and India is built on trust, friendship, and mutual respect—not just rooted in history but aimed at strengthening for decades to come," she added.

Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) today issued a red alert for extremely heavy rainfall in Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, and Ratnagiri.

Between 8:30 AM and 11:30 AM, several parts of Mumbai recorded significant rainfall. According to IMD data, Colaba received 105.2 mm of rain, followed by Bandra at 68.5 mm, Juhu Airport at 63.5 mm, and Santacruz at 55.0 mm. Other rainfall figures include Sion (53.5 mm), Tata Power Chembur (38.5 mm), Vikhroli (37.5 mm), and Mahalaxmi (33.5 mm).

PM Modi also said that everything necessary for the country's progress must be made within India.

He urged citizens to buy and use products made in India, especially during major festivals like Holi, Diwali, and Ganesh Puja.

Speaking at the Dahod rally, PM Modi drew attention to the significant progress made at the Dahod electric locomotive factory.

He recalled attending the stone-laying ceremony for the factory three years ago, when skeptics dismissed the project as a mere election promise.

“People said the stone-laying was done for the sake of elections; they said nothing would be built,” noted PM Modi.

“Today, we can see that the first electric locomotive has been manufactured here, which was flagged off a short while ago.”

Addressing the public rally in Dahod, PM Modi hailedpraised the nation’s recent transformative decisions, calling them “unimaginable and unprecedented.”

He said that India has broken “decades-old shackles” and emphasized that 140 crore Indians are united in their effort to build a “Viksit Bharat.

PM Modi also underscored the importance of self-reliance, stating that it is essential for all necessary resources and industries to be developed within the country.

“India is moving forward in the manufacturing world,” he added, highlighting the nation’s growing prominence in global manufacturing and economic development.

Addressing a public rally in Dahod this afternoon, PM Modi commemorated the anniversary of his first oath-taking as Prime Minister.

“Today is May 26. On the same date in 2014, I took the oath as the Prime Minister for the first time,” he said. He added that initially, the people of Gujarat blessed him, followed by millions across India.

In Vadodara, Colonel Sofiya Qureshi's father, Taj Mohammed Qureshi, shared a touching moment from PM Modi's roadshow, saying that the Prime Minister recognised them in the crowd and greeted them with a respectful gesture.

“PM Modi ne humey pehchaan liya aur fir pranaam kiya. Humne bhi unhe sammaan se pranaam kiya (PM Modi recognised us and greeted us with folded hands. We also returned the gesture with respect),” said Qureshi, expressing pride in the warm exchange.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare reported that as of 8:00 am today, India has 1,009 active COVID-19 cases.

During the event, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate development projects valued at more than Rs 24,000 crore. The projects feature major railway works and various government initiatives focused on advancing Gujarat’s infrastructure and overall progress.

Colonel Sofiya Qureshi’s mother, Halima Qureshi, also expressed her heartfelt support for PM Modi.

“We welcomed him with flowers. It is a very good thing that everyone is welcoming him together. He is the Prime Minister of our country, so he should be welcomed,” she said.

Speaking about her daughter, she added, “Sofiya is not only our daughter but the daughter of our country and whatever she has done is very good and we should take it forward.”

The all-party delegation led by JD(U) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha engaged with leading think tanks in Seoul, South Korea, today, to discuss India’s recent economic growth and the ongoing fight against terrorism.

Speaking at the meeting, Jha highlighted India’s rise as the world’s fourth-largest economy, stating, "Yesterday, India became the fourth-largest economy in the world. We surpassed Japan."

Addressing the April 22 terror attack in Kashmir, he said, "The Government of India has sent seven delegations to different countries across the world to apprise them about what happened in Kashmir, where 26 innocent tourists were gunned down in front of their families on religious lines." Jha further accused Pakistan of sponsoring terrorism, saying, "All [the terrorists] came from Pakistan. It has been the state policy of Pakistan to sponsor terrorism for the last 40 years."

Underlining South Korea’s strategic importance, Jha said, "The Republic of Korea is important to us as the country is a member of the UNSC. At the UNSC, the world should unite to fight against terrorism."

Further speaking to reporters, Colonel Sofiya Qureshi’s twin sister, Shyna Sunsara, also described a touching interaction with the PM.

She said, “When PM Modi was crossing us, he bowed down and we also did the same. It was a very different moment. I cannot express it in words. It felt as if he was giving a message to the world that we are standing with you all, and no one needs to be scared.”

Following his grand Vadodara roadshow, PM Modi today inaugurated a state-of-the-art locomotive manufacturing plant in Dahod, aimed at boosting India’s rail freight capacity.

The facility is set to produce powerful 9,000 HP electric locomotives designed both for domestic use and export markets.

These advanced locomotives are expected to significantly enhance the freight loading capability of Indian Railways, supporting the country’s transportation infrastructure and economic growth.

At PM Modi’s roadshow in Vadodara, Shyna Sunsara, twin sister of Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, expressed her admiration for the PM’s efforts toward women’s empowerment.

She said, “We felt good meeting PM Modi. He has done a lot for women's empowerment. Sofia is my twin sister. When your sister does something for the country, it inspires not only me but others as well. She is no longer just my sister but the country's sister as well.”

During PM Modi’s roadshow in Vadodara, Sanjay Qureshi, brother of Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, expressed his heartfelt emotions on seeing the Prime Minister in person for the first time.

“It was a great moment when PM Modi came here. We got to see him for the first time. Through gestures, he greeted us,” he said. Sanjay also expressed gratitude towards the Indian defence forces and the government, acknowledging their role in giving his sister a chance to serve the nation.

“A woman taking revenge for the women who suffered so much....what can be better than this?” he added, referring to Colonel Sofiya Qureshi’s role in India’s recent military success.

In the evening, PM Modi will lead a 3-kilometer roadshow from Ahmedabad Airport to Indira Bridge, where over 50,000 BJP supporters and citizens are expected to gather in his honor.

He will then spend the night at Raj Bhavan in Gandhinagar.

Later today, in Bhuj, the Prime Minister will also unveil and lay foundations for development projects valued at over Rs 53,000 crore. These projects span infrastructure upgrades at Kandla Port, solar energy plants, power transmission networks, and new roadways, benefiting districts including Kutch, Jamnagar, Amreli, Junagadh, Gir Somnath, Ahmedabad, Tapi, and Mahisagar.

Furthermore, in Dahod and Mahisagar districts, PM Modi will inaugurate four water supply schemes costing Rs 181 crore, designed to deliver clean drinking water at 100 litres per capita per day to nearly 4.62 lakh people across 193 villages and one town.

During his two-day Gujarat visit, the Prime Minister will flag off the Somnath–Ahmedabad Vande Bharat train and inaugurate a railway production facility in Dahod, built at a cost exceeding Rs 21,000 crore.

This state-of-the-art unit is part of India’s push to boost indigenous manufacturing.
