Anuj Thapan, the accused in the Salman Khan residence attack case, died after attempting suicide in custody today, according to Mumbai police.

The accused's brother Abhishek Thapan, a resident of Sukhchain village in Punjab's Abohar, said, "Anuj was taken by Mumbai Police from Sangrur 6-7 days ago. Today, we received a call that Anuj had committed suicide. He was not the kind who could have committed suicide. He was murdered by police. We want justice. He worked as a truck helper."

Advocate Arun, who is representing Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna said, "He has said that he needs 7 days to come and cooperate with the investigation. I feel accomodating seven days should not cause any serious difficulty to the investigation. There was a notice issued under section 41A of CrPC which was left at his (Prajwal Revanna) and his father's residence. The notice asks them to come and cooperate with the investigation. Prajwal Revanna was asked to appear today and his father has been asked to join the investigation on 2nd May...I am not saying I do not know where he is...Prajwal has categorically said that the videos are morphed."

"They are desperate and are fearing their defeat. So, they are promoting deepfake videos," says Union Home Minister Amit Shah on his 'deepfake and morphed' video on quotas.

A flight from Bhubaneswar to New Delhi returned minutes after take-off and made an emergency landing after the aircraft was caught in a hailstorm and suffered damage on Wednesday, an official said. The 169 passengers and crew on board are safe.

No explosive device was found at any of these schools. This has been proven beyond doubt that the emails were for rumour-mongering. It is our request to all parents and schools not to pay heed to such rumours and if someone is found spreading it, to report to the local police immediately."

"This is to inform you that the school has received an email that threatens the safety and security of the students," Delhi Public School, Noida wrote to the parents as soon as possible. We are sending the students back home right away as a precaution.

Delhi Fire Service received over 60 bomb threat calls in Delhi-NCR schools. Director Atul Garg says, We immediately sent fire tenders and fire tenders have started returning from some schools because nothing has been found and I think all the calls will turn out to be hoax.
