The Allahabad High Court on Thursday ruled that the 18 suits filed by the Hindu side, in relation to the Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah Masjid dispute, are maintainable.
In a setback to the Muslim side, the court dismissed the plea of Shahi Idgah Masjid challeging the maintainability of 18 suits filed by the deity and Hindu worshippers.
The plea was filed under Order 7 Rule 11 CPC. The court said that the suits of the Hindu worshippers and the diety are not barred under the Limitation Act or Places Of Worship Act.
