Kanimozhi led all-party delegation meet Russian leaders, pledges deeper cooperation against terrorism

An All-Party delegation led by Lok Sabha MP Ms. Kanimozhi Karunanidhi held a series of high-level talks in Moscow today, highlighting India’s firm stance against terrorism and the growing strategic alignment with Russia.

The delegation met with senior Russian leaders including Mr. Andrey Denisov of the Federation Council and Mr. Leonid Slutsky of the State Duma. Discussions centered on legislative collaboration to combat terrorism and global security issues.

Operation Sindoor was highlighted by the Indian side as a significant step in its counter-terrorism efforts.

In talks with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mr. Andrey Rudenko, both nations reaffirmed their commitment to a multipolar global order and resolved to eliminate terrorism in all its forms. India reiterated its zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism and nuclear threats.

The team also engaged with Mr. Mikhail Fradkov of the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies, focusing on radicalization, disinformation, and propaganda. Both sides called for stronger narrative frameworks based on pluralism and international law.

This visit underlines the enduring India-Russia strategic partnership and their shared resolve to combat terrorism globally and promote regional and international stability.
