Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday said Pakistan is making all efforts to destabilise Jammu and Kashmir.

Hitting  out at PoK PM Chaudhry Anwarul Haq over his remarks on India, Singh said J&K is incomplete without PoK.

Haq recently echoed the long-standing rhetoric of terrorists by calling for jihad against India and declared that his government would mobilise all available resources to oust Indian forces from Jammu and Kashmir.

"Pakistan making all efforts to destabilise Jammu and Kashmir. Efforts underway to reduce distance between hearts of people of J&K and Delhi," said the Union Minister. He also accused  Pakistan of using PoK as a terror hub and vowed action.

Singh on Tuesday hoisted a 108-foot national flag and inaugurated a heritage museum in the Akhnoor border belt of Jammu. Singh, accompanied by the chief of defence staff (CDS), was received by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and senior officers amid tight security. He participated in the 9th Armed Forces Veterans’ Day programme celebrated at Tanda Artillery Brigade. The museum showcases weapons used in various wars in J-K and sculptures of war heroes.

“I extend my greeting to everyone on Makar Sankranti. It is believed that we should celebrate Makar Sankranti with our family, therefore, I have come here today to celebrate this day with you all… We are celebrating Veterans Day today in Akhnoor, Kashmir. It’s a big day for all of us. I don’t wish to turn the pages of history. I will only say that those old days have gone. Our government’s efforts will be to reduce the gap between Kashmir and the rest of India,” said Singh.
