Congress' leader Pawan Khera on Tuesday shared an animated photo of PM Modi and External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar with caption "Jaishankar is the new age Jaichand?" which is often used as a synonym for traitor.
Khera's remarks stem from a recent statement of EAM Jaishankar where he said that India informed Pakistan before conducting strikes against terror infrastructure during Operation Sindoor.

"At the start of the operation, we had sent a message to Pakistan, saying we are striking at terrorist infrastructure and we are not striking at the military. So the military has the option of standing out and not interfering in this process. They chose not to take that good advice," Jaishankar said while addressing the media.
However, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri has clarified that EAM's statement was taken out of context.
Lok Sabha Leader of opposition Rahul Gandhi has also critcised S Jaishankar over his remarks and accused the government of committing a "crime" by allegedly informing Pakistan in advance.
“EAM has publicly admitted that GOI did it. Who authorised it? How many aircraft did our air force lose as a result? EAM Jaishankar’s silence isn’t just telling — it’s damning. So I’ll ask again: How many Indian aircraft did we lose because Pakistan knew? This wasn’t a lapse. It was a crime. And the nation deserves the truth,” he said.
Meanwhile, earlier today, BJP's IT cell head Amit Malviya in response to Gandhi's allegations called him “modern age Mir Jafar" and said that the Congress leader is “speaking the language of Pakistan and its benefactors”.
