An IndiGo flight, flying from Ahmedabad to Patna, reportedly got a bomb threat, causing a panic situation amongst the passengers and the authorities.
The threat was received shortly before the flight’s landing at Patna airport, instigating immediate action from security personnel, Livemint reported.
The Patna-bound IndiGo plane was carrying 195 passengers. It was safely landed and then moved to an isolation bay where a thorough search was conducted by the bomb squad, the report further read.
The inspection of the aircraft was conducted for one hour but no suspicious items were found. After this, the aircraft was declared safe, and the passengers were allowed to disembark.
This has come two days after a bomb threat was received at the Jammu Railway Station. The threat at the Jammu Railway Station turned out to be a hoax after authorities conducted a thorough search at the premises.
On Sunday, an anonymous caller had warned of a bomb planted at the busy Jammu Railway station. The call triggered panic and a swift response from Jammu Police and Railway Police was initiated.
Security forces conducted an extensive search using sniffer dogs and metal detectors but found nothing suspicious - after which, the threat was declared a hoax.
