The Indian Navy deployed firefighting teams and a Sea King helicopter on Sunday to help control a massive blaze at East India Petroleum Chemicals (EIPL) in Visakhapatnam.
As part of the coordinated firefighting effort, the Navy’s Seaking helicopter was equipped with an underslung fire bucket and carried out multiple sorties from INS Dega. It dropped large volumes of water and foam over the affected site, helping reduce the temperature and douse the flames.
