Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday said the Indian Armed Forces have brought Pakistani military to its knees during the four-day conflict.
Speaking at an event in Lucknow, Singh reiterated that India's Operation Sindoor was singularly aimed to target terrorists and terror infrastructure inside Pakistan, contrary to the claims made by Pakistan-- that Indian strikes inflicted civilian casualties.
Rajnath Singh made the comments at the 25th anniversary celebration of KNS Memorial Hospital in Lucknow. "We work in the Ministry of Defence under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and just like you treat patients, we treat the terrorists who come from across the border with full precision, " added Singh.
"But Pakistan is habituated to not mending its ways easily. It started attempts to attack India and target civilians as well. Temples, Gurdwaras and Churches were targeted. The retaliatory action by the Indian armed forces made the Pakistan military fall to their knees. When we were undertaking retaliatory action, utmost care was taken that only the terrorist camps in Pakistan are targeted, and no attack is done on civilian areas. Like a skilled surgeon, Indian armed forces conducted an operation. I congratulate them on this," emphasised Singh.
