The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s Delhi unit on Monday announced the names of 14 district presidents, including two women -- Raj Sharma Gautam (Najafgarh) and Maya Bisht (South Delhi).
The names of the district presidents as well as 105 elected members of the BJP Delhi state council were announced by Mahendra Nagpal, the organisational election officer of Delhi BJP.
Three of the names included in the district presidents list have retained their posts including Vijender Dhama from Mayur Vihar, Chandrapal Bakshi from West Delhi, and Deepak Gauba from Shahdara.
Meanwhile, four others have held the post previously -- Arvind Garg (Chandni Chowk), Vinod Sahrawat (North West), Virendra Babbar (Karol Bagh), and Master Binod Kumar (Naveen Shahdara).
For the first time, two women have been elected as district presidents in the new team, the party said.

The appointment comes three months after the BJP returned to power in Delhi after 27 years after defeating Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
The party has already appointed presidents of 204 Mandal units. Next in the ongoing reorganisation process will be the appointment of state unit office bearers, party leaders said.
The newly elected state council members include MLAs Pawan Sharma, Delhi minister Kapil Mishra, former minister Kailash Gahlot, Kartar Singh Tanwar, Pradyumn Rajpur, former MP Ramesh Bidhuri, former mayors Subhash Arya, Preeti Agrwal and Sunita Kangra, Sumit Bhasin and Delhi BJP media department head Praveen Shankar Kapoor.
