Lalu Prasad Yadav's estranged son and Janshakti Janata Dal founder Tej Pratap Yadav has reacted after his sister Rohini Acharya said that she is "disowning" her family and that she was abused and hit with slippers.
Taking to Janshakti Janata Dal's official Instagram page, Yadav wrote, "Yesterday's incident has shaken the heart to the core. I tolerated whatever happened to me… but the insult that happened to my sister is intolerable in any case."
"Listen Jaichands- If you attack the family, the people of Bihar will never forgive you. Ever since I heard the news of my sister Rohini picking up the slippers, the hurt in my heart has now turned into fire. When public sentiments are hurt-Then the dust lying on the intellect disappears. These few faces have veiled the intelligence of even Tejashwi," the post, originally written in Hindi, read.
Further, the post said, "The consequences of this injustice will be extremely dire. The accounting of time is very strict."
Rohini Acharya, who on Saturday declared on X that she was stepping away from politics and “disowning” her family, landed in Patna on Saturday and levelled sharp accusations against senior figures within the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).
Speaking to reporters at the airport, Rohini claimed that influential members of the party were responsible for her estrangement.
“I don't have a family. You should go and ask Tejashwi Yadav, Sanjay Yadav, and Rameez. They are the ones who threw me out of the family,” she said.
She went on to allege that raising questions about the party’s performance had led to retaliation. “They do not want to take any responsibility… The whole nation is asking why the party failed like this. When you take the names of Sanjay Yadav and Rameez, you are thrown out of the house, disgraced, and abused." A video of her speaking was shared by news agency ANI.
