Had promised 5 guarantees before elections in Karnataka, fulfilled 6, says Rahul Gandhi

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday said that the Congress had promised 5 guarantees before elections in Karnataka, however they have fulfilled 6 while addressing a rally in the state.

"We had given 5 guarantees during the elections in Karnataka, but today we have fulfilled 6. More than one lakh families have been given ownership rights of their land. This is the most important guarantee for the future of Karnataka, which will directly benefit crores of families, especially the poor, Dalits and tribals. We want that whoever has land should get the ownership rights because it is a fundamental right of every citizen," he said.

Congress chief Kharge also said that the state government is providing ownership land titles to more than one lakh people, including SC-ST-OBC communities and have fulfilled all of our major guarantees.

He further said that that every year, they are putting more than Rs 50,000 crore directly into the hands of the people.

Additionally, Rahul Gandhi said that the BJP follows a model under which select rich people get entire money and resources, whereas in the Congress' model, money is put into the bank accounts and the pockets of the poor.
