Gurugram has struggled to maintain lead during the previous two Haryana assembly elections.

In 2019, 52.3% voter turnout was reported in this constituency.

Ahead of the vote counting, Haryana CM Nayab Singh told reporters, “We are confident that the service we have done to Haryana over the past 10 years, on basis of that I can say that we are forming the government for a third time. The BJP is ready to serve the state for a third time..."

Despite being a key constituency, Gurgaon witnessed low turnout on election day. According to the Election Commission data, Gurgaon had only 57.96 percent voters participating in elections.

The key parties contesting in Haryana include the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Indian National Congress (INC), Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) in alliance with the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), and the Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) allied with the Azad Samaj Party. These parties have consistently been significant players in the state’s electoral landscape.
