A Delhi court on Wednesday denied immediate interim relief to Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra, the owners of the Birch by 'Romeo Lane' nightclub in Goa, which caught fire, resulting in the deaths of at least 25 people over the weekend.

The Rohini Court in Delhi has requested a response from the Goa government regarding the transit anticipatory bail filed by the Luthra brothers, who are accused of a nightclub fire incident.

The case is scheduled for a hearing on Thursday, December 11. The Luthra brothers, Gaurav and Saurabh, are represented by senior advocates Sidharth Luthra and Tanvir Ahmed Mir. They are seeking legal protection to return to India and approach the courts in Goa for further relief, as they fear arrest upon landing in Delhi, reported Hindustan Times.

They contended that they should not be held accountable for the incident, as local managers of the club have already been arrested. They also claimed that the state is engaged in a "witch-hunt" against them, arguing that they are not the owners of the club in question but merely licensees.
