A 17-year-old boy named Rehan, was brutally murdered in Ghaziabad by three people - Wasim, Sahil and Rahil - because he sent a follow request to Wasim's girlfriend on social media.

Rehan's friend Wasim had hatched a plan to kill Rehan and had called for help from Sahil and Rahil, by promising them free alcohol if they partook in his plan. As per reports, Sahil and Rahil first fed Chole Bhature to Rehan and later held his hands while Wasim murdered him using a knife.

The police found Rehan's body in Elaichipur village on Tuesday. The three accused were subsequently arrested and the knife that was used to kill Rehan was recovered from them.

Meanwhile, in another shocking crime attempt from Delhi, a BSF constable, who had recently joined the forces, was arrested for robbing a Delhi jewellery store with a toy gun in broad daylight. He got the idea after allegedly getting inspired by crime shows following losses in online gambling, an official said on Wednesday.

The accused, identified as Gaurav Yadav, had completed his training in May 2025. He had enrolled in the Border Security Force (BSF) in 2023, media reports have said.

"Yadav was posted in the BSF in Fazilka, Punjab. On June 18, a day before the robbery, he took leave and travelled to Delhi, where he planned the heist while waiting to switch trains," Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara) Prashant Gautam said in a statement, as quoted by an NDTV report.
