Abhishek Kar, a well-known financial influencer got embroiled in a controversy after making 'unacceptable comments' during a podcast on YouTube.

The Chief Minister of Assam’s Office, tagging the Assam Police, wrote on X,“A video from a YouTube channel, named Riya Upreti, is in circulation where an individual named Abhishek Kar is seen making unacceptable comments on Assam’s history and traditions. Appropriate action may be initiated against the said individual for spreading misinformation.”

"Noted Sir. Lawful action shall be taken," stated, the Director General of Police in a the thread.

In the viral clip, Abhishek Kar claims that in Assam's Mayong village located in the Morigaon district, women have the power to convert humans into goats and other animals and then again turn back into humans, by performing "tantric practices." They could also turn it back into a human and have sex as part of tantric practices, Abhishek Kar had claimed during the podcast.

After facing massive backlash, Abhishek Kar posted an apology video on X and wrote,"Apologies to people, @CMOfficeAssam, @gpsinghips and every concerned party who was hurt. The intent wasn't to hurt anyone and it will be kept in mind going forward that such incidents don't happen again."

"I did not do it intentionally, neither wanted to create chaos, but that is how it panned out. I am so sorry if anyone got hurt," Abhishek Kar said in the video. Abhishek Kar also said that he would be more careful while depending on secondary sources of data before speaking on public platforms.
