Pooja Pal, the MLA who was expelled from the Samajwadi Party days ago, has now written a letter to Akhilesh Yadav. The letter mentions that if Pooja dies, Yadav should be held responsible.
Sharing the letter on her X account, Pooja wrote, "My voice against injustice and betrayal! Expulsion from the party is not just about me, but an attempt to suppress the voice of the backwards, Dalit, and poor people of Uttar Pradesh. I have fought and will continue to fight the battle for justice."
Further, Pooja said that her being expelled from SP was not just a personal effort and that it came as an effort that was made to silence the concerns of the backward classes, economically weaker sections, and Dalits.
She said that Yadav's decision to expel her would have been enough answer for SC, ST, and OBC communities on whether Yadav is a true protector of these communities. She further said that she had joined the party because she believed that the party could deliver justice to the backward community, but she was disappointed while trying to seek justice for her husband, BSP MLA Raju Pal, who was murdered in 2005 during the SP government’s rule.
Pal further said that her expulsion from the party reportedly came for voting for a BJP candidate in the Rajya Sabha elections, "when Akhilesh Yadav himself voted for a BJP candidate in the Constitutional Club elections in Delhi just days later."
She also criticised Yadav's "arrogance" and said that she is being subjected to severe trolling on social media and is also receiving life threats. She added that her only aim of receiving justice for her husband's murder is unfulfilled, and now, even if she dies, it won't matter.
