Minor girl injured in encounter between security forces and terrorists in Kathua district

As per initial reports, security forces initiated a search operation in Sanyal village, located near the International Border (IB) in the Hiranagar sector, after intercepting a new group of four to five infiltrators.

Encounter breaks out between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district

A minor girl was injured in an encounter between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district on Sunday evening. She was rushed to the hospital, where her condition was reported to be stable.

According to the Indian Army's Rising Star Corps, a joint search operation was launched by the Jammu-Kashmir Police and Rising Star Corps in Sanyal village, near the International Border (IB) in the Hiranagar sector, after security forces intercepted a new group of four to five infiltrators.

Officials mentioned that additional forces have been deployed to the site.

Earlier, on March 17, security forces engaged in an encounter with terrorists in Kupwara district. A cordon and search operation was launched in Krumhoora village of Zachaldara after receiving information about terrorists being in the area.

The search operation turned into an encounter when the terrorists opened fire at the security forces.
