Samajwadi Party's Lok Sabha MP Dimple Yadav on Wednesday said that the BJP government under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has developed a habit of making bold remarks only to deviate from the real issues of inflation and unemployment that continue to plague Uttar Pradesh.
Dimple, the Lok Sabha MP from UP's Mainpuri, was responding to the Chief Minister's remarks during an interview with news agency ANI where he had claimed that Muslims were the safest in his state and defended his style of dealing with miscreants with an iron hand.
The Chief Minister also referred to the Sambhal issue and said that all actions by the government have been taken under the ambit of law and that Hindus were fully justified in reclaiming the symbols of their cultural identity.
Responding to the Chief Minister's remarks, Dimple said that digging old graves had become the intent and policy of the Adityanath administration.
"Digging old graves has become the policy of the BJP. They (BJP leaders) make such statements to deflect attention from the real issues of inflation, unemployment, education facilities and others," Dimple said.

The Member of Parliament also slammed the tall claims of development by the state government and said that the development model of the state was laughable.
"If you see the development work done in Uttar Pradesh in the last 8 years, you will understand the real situation that exists now...The government should reveal how many MoUs signed by the UP government have translated into reality," she said.
Dimple has been an ardent critic of the Yogi government since assuming charge as a Lok Sabha MP in this term. On Tuesday, she took on the Yogi government's system of 'bulldozer justice' and termed it a violation of the democratic system.
She said that despite the Supreme Court's stance against such actions, the government continues to act without following constitutional norms and condemned what she described as arbitrary and unjust actions by the BJP-led government in the state.
