At the Powering Bharat Summit 2025, Ashish Sood, Minister of Home, Power, Urban Development, Education & Training for Delhi-NCT, outlined several major initiatives aimed at improving Delhi's infrastructure, education, and environmental sustainability.

Sood criticized the previous government’s record on public school development, saying, “The previous govt used to show only 2 schools in Delhi as an example of development in public schools. They did marketing of work that was not even done."

He said that his administration plans to bring Delhi school fees fixation transparency bill, which will be soon brought in assembly

Addressing environmental concerns in the city, Sood announced a major push towards cleaner public transportation with the launch of a fleet of 400 pollution-free buses. “We want to coordinate with every state. We will not blame other states. We are launching a fleet of 400 pollution free buses.,” he said

On waste management, Sood shared that Delhi currently operates three waste disposal plants, which are being upgraded to address the city's growing garbage issue.

However, he noted that certain government clearances are still awaited, he said, “We do not yet want to give a date to clear the mountains of waste dumps in Delhi.”
