Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday claimed that even BJP supporters are saving up to Rs 25,000 per month through the schemes implemented by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in the national capital and urged them to vote for his party in the upcoming Assembly elections.
In a video message, AAP national convenor Kejriwal addressed BJP supporters and said, "A few days back I met a 'kattar' BJP supporter, he asked Arvind ji, what if you lose? I also smiled and asked, what will happen to you if I'll lose? I asked where your children go to study to which he replied - in a govt school as schools are better now and the teachers are also good there. Then I asked in which BJP-ruled state, schools are better than us and he replied - none... I said if I lose this election, free electricity, free water, free healthcare free buses for women and good education - all these things would stop and it will cost you around 25,000."
"I asked him to forget about politics, and BJP and think about family. He said - I'll vote for you in this election but will not leave the BJP... I appeal to all the BJP supporters that if the BJP govt comes, all our schemes will be stopped. It will cost you around Rs 25,000; do you have this much money? Can you bear this loss? I don't think so. Being your brother - I appeal to you to vote for AAP in this election - it's your choice to leave BJP or not, but vote for us in this election," Kejriwal said.

"Vote for yourself and press the button of 'Jhaadu' (broom)," Kejriwal said, referring to the party symbol.
Claiming that under AAP, an average family in Delhi saves around Rs 25,000 per month on account of free electricity, water, quality education and healthcare services, Kejriwal warned that these savings would be at risk if the BJP comes to power.
Earlier on Friday, the AAP chief launched a 'Bachat Patra' campaign to highlight the AAP government's welfare schemes. "People can note how much they are saving through our free welfare initiatives," he said.
Kejriwal also claimed that the new schemes promised in the party's manifesto, such as the Sanjeevani Yojana for free healthcare to the elderly and free bus rides for students with 50 per cent concession on Metro fares, would add another Rs 10,000 to people’s monthly savings.
The 70-member Delhi Assembly will go to polls on February 5, and the results will be out on February 8. AAP is seeking a third consecutive term after securing 62 of the 70 seats in 2020.
