Delhi Election 2025 News Live: Stop Kejriwal from campaigning in the national capital, BJP tells EC

During a public rally in Okhla, Congress MP and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi slammed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for failing to address unemployment and inflation, accusing him of only giving speeches instead of taking action. Gandhi criticized Kejriwal for constantly self-proclaiming his honesty, stating that truly honest people don’t need to advertise it because the public recognizes them. He also alleged that Kejriwal was involved in the biggest liquor scam in Delhi.

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi criticizes Arvind Kejriwal at a public gathering in Okhla, saying "I don't know about other parties, but Arvind Kejriwal surely fears Narendra Modi. He (Arvind Kejriwal) said that he would do 'clean' politics, but he and his party did the biggest liquor scam in Delhi."

Addressing a rally in Delhi, Amit Shah said: "Kejriwal has blocked PM Modi's Ayushman Bharat Yojana, as soon as the Delhi govt is formed, in the first cabinet itself, Delhi people will get free health care facilities up to Rs 10 lakhs...senior citizens will get Rs 2500 pension and widows' pension will be increased to Rs 3,000...

Ajay Maken hit out at Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal over allegations regarding Delhi's water supply, saying that if the former Delhi chief minister ‘is lying’, it is "treason."

Addressing a rally Delhi’s Patparganj, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi slammed chief Arvind Kejriwal, accusing him of failing to live up to his promises. Gandhi claimed that Kejriwal, who once promised change, was missing during times of crisis and was now embroiled in the liquor scam.

"Everyone is getting zero electricity bill. I am an engineer that is why electricity is available to you 24/7 and I am the son of a baniya which is why it is available for free. BJP asks me where I will manage the funds for all my announcements, to which I say, I am a magician..."

"...Both parties (AAP and BJP) keep putting allegations on each other and the people of Delhi are suffering because of them. This is the reason why Congress is a better alternative and the people have faith in Congress.," said Congress leader Sachin Pilot.

The BJP launched its new theme song ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections, sung by party MP Manoj Tiwari. "Some songs are created in such a way that they need to be remixed. My team asked me to remix a song 'BJP Dil Mein, BJP Delhi Mein,' which was launched in 2017. Today, we are launching that remixed version, which includes our election guarantees," said Tiwari, who is BJP MP from northeast Delhi.

"I want to ask Kejriwal ji that he had promised to clean the Yamuna. There are 37 treatment plants in Delhi, but only 17 are working. So who is responsible for this? If all the treatment plants were working, the people of Delhi would not have to face this situation... They have realised that they are not winning, so in the end they are trying to spread anarchy,"  said Haryana BJP MP Kiran Choudhry.

The Supreme Court Monday granted custody parole to Mohd Tahir Hussain, an undertrial prisoner in the 2020 Delhi riots case, to campaign for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections as a candidate of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) from the Mustafabad constituency.
