Against the initial estimate of Rs 80,000 crore, Rekha Gupta's Delhi Budget has size of Rs 1 lakh crore.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta is presenting the Delhi Budget amid 'Modi Modi chants.' She said that the budget is not only about financial health of the government and also about dreams and aspirations of people of Delhi.

Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijendar Gupta is giving his opening remarks ahead of the budget presentation.

Speaking on the Mahila Samman Nidhi scheme, Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa stated, "They (Opposition) are merely distracting people from the Rs 1,000 scheme they have yet to implement. Their only agenda is to spread negativity. In this Budget, we have allocated Rs 5,100 crore for our daughters and sisters, yet they haven’t even provided Rs 1,000 so far."

"The Budget is being presented on the second day of the Assembly session, sparking joy, enthusiasm, and curiosity among the people. As this marks the beginning of a new government, a new era, and fresh hopes, our focus is on meeting public expectations. That is my conviction, and I extend my best wishes."

Not only Rekha Gupta, other ministers from the Delhi government have also reached the Hanuman Temple in CP. Kapil Mishra, Ravinder Indraj Singh and Manjinder Singh Sirsa were also seen visiting the famous CP temple ahead of the tabling of the Delhi budget in the Assembly.

Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh stated, "Our Chief Minister and Finance Minister, Rekha Gupta, will present a landmark Budget today. This Budget will offer a fresh opportunity to make Delhi better and more beautiful."

Ahead of tabling the budget, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta visited the famous Hanuman Temple located in Connaught Place. Before the swearing in ceremony also, Gupta had visited another Hanuman Temple, popularly known as 'Marghat wale Hanuman ji' near Yamuna Bazar.

The Budget is anticipated to exceed Rs80,000 crore, surpassing last year’s allocation of Rs77,000 crore. The government invited public feedback and received over 10,000 suggestions through email and WhatsApp. Opposition leader Atishi criticised the administration for failing to present the Economic Survey ahead of the Budget. In response, Gupta assured that it would be tabled soon.

The BJP-led Delhi government is set to unveil its first Budget in the Assembly on Tuesday, signifying the party’s comeback to power in the capital after almost 30 years. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, who also serves as the finance minister, will be at the forefront of the budget presentation.

Ahead of presenting the budget, CM Gupta said the “Viksit Delhi Budget" for the 2025-26 fiscal by the BJP government will focus on the better education, waterlogging issues, economic empowerment of women and health service.
