The Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government on Wednesday increased the dearness allowance (DA) for state government employees by 2 percent with effect from January 1, 2025.

With this, the DA has been hiked from 53 percent to 55 percent for the state employees, according to ANI.

The DA hike will take effect from January 1, with the payment of arrears to be paid in May.

The much-awaited hike in the dearness allowance will lead to bigger take-home salaries for UP government staff.
