BJP IT Cell head Amit Malviya on Saturday lashed out at Congress MP Imran Masood after the latter, while speaking on a talk show, said that India did not give it back to Pakistan during Operation Sindoor and that the real give-back would be hoisting the Indian flag in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
In another clip, Masood also said that India could not even identify the terrorists, let alone kill them. He further said that there is no proof, even if the government has said that the terrorists have been killed.
While tweeting the videos, Malviya wrote, "Congress MP Imran Masood has raised questions on the valour of the Indian armed forces. When the entire world is acknowledging India's military capability and its complete dominance over Pakistan, Masood, at Rahul Gandhi's behest, is busy tarnishing both 'Operation Sindoor' and 'Operation Mahadev'. He wants proof!"
"Congress has now become completely diseased, the party immersed in Muslim appeasement can go to any extent to defame India — just for a few votes," he further wrote.
Operation Sindoor marked one of the country’s most assertive military responses in recent years, launched on the intervening night of May 6 and 7 after the Pahalgam terror attack that left 26 civilians dead.
The large-scale operation, that was executed by the Indian Army, Air Force and integrated special forces, targeted multiple terror camps across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
The name “Sindoor”, derived from the vermilion worn by married Hindu women, was chosen as a symbolic tribute to the widowed women in the Pahalgam tragedy, a gesture that linked national grief with an act of retribution.
During the strikes, Indian forces hit nine key terror infrastructure sites, including those linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). Indian officials emphasised that the operation was carefully calibrated to avoid Pakistani military installations, focusing solely on terror launch pads and command centres.
