Amid concerns that China reportedly supplied arms to Pakistan against India during the military standoff following Operation Sindoor, a British journalist has called out Beijing, saying it ‘can't be trusted.’
Talking about China’s role in the Indo-Pak tension, political commentator David Vance told news agency ANI that Beijing “operates Pakistan as a proxy in the region. China cannot be trusted in any regard, which is something I thought Donald Trump should understand that India is a bulwark for the West against China. The more we can help India against Pakistan, the better. China has got vested interests with Pakistan and they do not coincide with India's best wishes.”
#WATCH | Belfast, UK: On India making efforts to get 'The Resistance Front' (TRF) designated as a Global terrorist organisation, writer and political commentator David Vance says, "... It's good that India has designated them for what they are... China operates Pakistan as a pic.twitter.com/9Tud22xLslANI (@ANI) May 15, 2025
On Operation Sindoor and the false narrative set up by Pakistan, Vance also said that “The operation was long overdue and it needed to happen. The operation has been pretty successful as best as I can understand. If you look at the global media, it has been less than supportive of India. I think this was India striking a blow for civilisation, actually; it was a lot more than just a conflict with Pakistan.”
The British writer further added that he “considers Pakistan to be a failed state, a terrorist state, and a terrorist incubator. It was good that India moved against it”
Slamming the coverage of the crisis by western media, Vance added that “the coverage has been absolutely atrocious and biased in favour of Pakistan. It has ignored the obvious success that India had. I was disappointed that President Trump intervened and tried to get a ceasefire. There was no need for a ceasefire.”
He also called out BBC for pro-Pakistan bias. “Western media is unfair on so many things. It cannot be trusted. The BBC should be banned in India. It is so anti-India and pro-Pakistan," Vance added.
