India is not going to live under shadow of terror and nuclear blackmail, says CDS Gen Anil Chauhan

“Professional military forces are not affected by setbacks and losses,” CDS Gen Anil Chauhan said at a lecture in university in Pune on Tuesday. Talking about India’s precision strikes during Operation Sindoor, Gen Chauhan said that “Pakistan should not be able to hold India hostage to terrorist activities.” On reports of India losing combat jets, The Chief of Defence Staff said that "losses in war are not important, important that the objective was achieved."

Delivering special lecture on the topic 'Future Wars and Warfare' organised Savitribai Phule Pune University, the Chief of Defence Staff said, “Operation Sindoor, as far as government is concerned, it is not about retribution, I think it was about drawing the limits of tolerance. The state-sponsored terrorism from Pakistan had to stop and Pakistan should not be able to hold hostage India to terror activities. It was also said that India is going to live under the shadow of terror and neither nuclear blackmail.”
