Budget Session 2025 Latest Updates

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched an all-out attack against the Congress and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi in his Parliament speech on Tuesday. Responding to the Motion of Thanks to the President’s Address during the ongoing Budget Session, PM Modi countered Gandhi’s caste jab. “We gave constitutional status to the OBCs,” PM Modi said.

Hailing the significance of the Indian Constitution for his government, the Prime Minister said, “When we were celebrating 50 years of Gujarat and I was the Chief Minister, we decided to compile all the Governor’s addresses from the past 50 years into an epic to be made available for readers in libraries.” In a swipe against Rahul Gandhi, who is often seen with a copy of the Constitution in his pocket, PM Modi remarked – “Those who carry copy of Constitution in their pockets can’t understand its importance.”

In an attack against the Congress, PM Modi said, “It is unfortunate that today some people are speaking the language of urban Naxals openly, challenging the Indian state and declaring a fight against it. Those who speak this language neither understand the Constitution nor the unity of the nation.”

PM Modi also mentioned the Triple Talaq act and said, “Those who live with the Constitution in their pockets do not know what kind of difficulties you forced Muslim women to live in...."
