Jalgaon SP Dr. Maheswar Reddy confirmed that 11 people have died in the accident, while 6 others are injured and receiving treatment. According to hospital reports, none of the injured are in critical condition.

Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan tweets, "Extremely saddened to know about the unfortunate death of some passengers after they were hit by another train near Jalgaon. Convey my condolences to the next of those who lost their lives. Wishing speedy recovery to the injured."

Union Home Minister Amit Shah tweets, "The train accident in Jalgaon, Maharashtra is extremely sad. I spoke to Chief Minister Dev Fadnavis in this regard and got information about the accident. The local administration is providing all possible help to the injured. I express my deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in this accident and wish for the speedy recovery of the injured."

Praveen Gedam, Nashik Railway Divisional Commissioner, confirmed that 11 people have died and 5 others are injured in the accident. Police and officials are present at the scene, with 8 ambulances and several railway rescue vans deployed. The District Collector and DRM are in touch, ensuring all possible assistance is being provided.

President Murmu expressed her condolences for the lives lost in a major train mishap in Maharashtra, offering her sympathies to the bereaved families and praying for the speedy recovery of the injured. She also expressed sorrow over a road accident in Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka.

Baramulla MP Sheikh Abdul Rashid, also known as Engineer Rashid, has filed a bail application with the Delhi High Court under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) in connection with the 2017 terror-funding case. A two-judge bench of the Supreme Court delivered a split verdict on the petition filed by Delhi riots accused Tahir Hussain, seeking interim bail to campaign for the Delhi Assembly elections. Justice Pankaj Mithal dismissed the petition, while Justice Ahsanuddin Amanullah favored granting interim bail. The bench was hearing Hussain’s Special Leave Petition, challenging the Delhi High Court's decision, which had denied interim bail and only allowed custody parole for filing his nomination to contest from Mustafabad. The case is linked to the murder of Intelligence Bureau (IB) staffer Ankit Sharma during the 2020 North-East Delhi riots.

Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar said, "Uniform Civil Code is in the directive principles of the constitution. An obligation has been cast on govt's governance to have a law for a Uniform Civil Code. One state, Uttarakhand, has done it. How can you object to something that is written in our Constitution? Which are directive principles of the state policy. We cannot be influenced day in and day out only by the narrow considerations of voting patterns. The framers of the Constitution were wise and visionary, provided us with fundamental rights and indicated that as democracy matures and as we progress, we must also realise for our people, certain goals and one of them is Uniform Civil Code."

But I think it's a very positive program for the United States and at some point, we need to find the political will to allow more legal immigration. It's a question of I think the long-range future for the country, it's just important for any sovereign state to say we're going to do it in an orderly fashion and we are certainly not doing that right now."
