A complete blackout has been imposed across several cities in northern and western India

A complete blackout has been imposed across several cities in northern and western India, just hours after both India and Pakistan announced a military de-escalation in the evening.

List of cities experiencing a blackout 

Complete blackouts were enforced in several key border cities and towns as a precautionary measure. The list of affected locations includes:

Udhampur: Red streaks seen and explosions can be heard as India's air defence intercepts Pakistani drones amid blackout in Udhampur.

Srinagar: Loud explosions are being heard in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir.

Barmer:  A complete blackout has been enforced in the city of Barmer.

Ferozepur: A complete blackout has been enforced in Ferozepur.

Jaisalmer: A complete blackout has been enforced in Jaisalmer.

Pathankot:  A complete blackout has been enforced in Pathankot.

Kathua: A complete blackout has been enforced in Kathua. Sirens can be heard.

Hoshiarpur: Complete blackout in Punjab's Hoshiarpur.

Rajouri: Complete blackout in J&K's Rajouri.

Kachchh: Blackout in Gujarat's Kachchh.

Patiala: A complete blackout has been enforced in Patiala.

Fazilka: Blackout has been enforced in Fazilka.

Ambala: A complete blackout has been enforced in Ambala.

Anantnag: Blackout in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag.

Chandigarh: Complete blackout in Chandigarh.

Earlier, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri told the media that Pakistan's Director General of Military Operations contacted his Indian counterpart on Saturday

afternoon. "Pakistan's Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) called Indian DGMO at 15:35 hours earlier this afternoon.

It was agreed between them that both sides would stop all firing and military action on land and in the air and sea with effect from 1700 hours Indian Standard Time," he said."
