In a scathing attack on West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee, BJP leader Amit Malviya on April 20 laid bare the contradictions in her leadership, accusing her of using her official letterhead to deflect blame onto the BJP and the RSS while ignoring her administration's own failure. He pointed to Banerjee's open letter, in which she claimed the violence was "pre-planned" conspiracy by the BJP and RSS, using an "Unfortunate incident" as a backdrop for divisive politics.
Alleging that the BJP and the RSS initiated a "vicious false campaign" in West Bengal, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on April 19 urged the people to maintain peace, and stated that the majority and the minority communities must take care of each other. Referring to the violence in Murshidabad, Ms. Banerjee said "these forces" were using the backdrop of "an unfortunate incident" that happened "on provocation" to play divisive politics.
"Mamata Banerjee has written a letter appealing for peace, yet the Chief Minister has not found it appropriate to visit the refugee camps in Malda—where Hindu men and women have taken shelter after fleeing Islamic persecution in Murshidabad. Who exactly is she seeking peace for?," tweeted Amit Malviya.
"Using her official letterhead as the Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee—who is expected to serve all citizens impartially—is instead blaming the principal opposition party and a non-political organization for her administration’s failures. This, despite her own police force debunking her narrative that the anti-Hindu violence in Murshidabad was incited by external elements.," wrote Malviya on X.
"A phrase she has recently taken to repeating is: “I hadn’t named them before, but I am doing so now.” Ironically, she used the same line just days ago to target Union Home Minister Amit Shah—someone she has previously accused without evidence or restraint. Her allegations against the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh follow a similar pattern: frequent, unsubstantiated, and politically motivated," expressed the BJP leader.
" A striking example of this deflective strategy was during the Khagragarh terror blast involving Jamaat operatives, where the explosion occurred in a house rented by a TMC leader. Without a shred of evidence, Mamata Banerjee hastily blamed the RSS to shield her vote bank. It seems that whenever her political standing is under threat, she resorts to targeting the Hindu community," shared Malviya on twitter.
