As trends indicated that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) surpassed the 200-seat mark in the Bihar election result, some seats saw a direct contest between the BJP and Congress.
Here’s a list of 27 seats that are witnessing close contest between the BJP and Congress.
Bagaha: BJP’s Ram Singh is leading with 6,313 votes while Congress leader Jayesh Mangal Singh is trailing behind.
Nautan: Narayan Prasad from BJP is leading with 20,046 votes. Congress leader Amit Kumar is trailing behind.
Chanpatia: Umakant Singh (BJP) is up against Abhishek Ranjan (Congress). Singh is leading with 6,569 votes.
Bettiah: BJP leader Renu Devi is leading ahead with 15,425 votes while Congress’s Wasi Ahmad is trailing behind.
Raxaul: Pramod Kumar Sinha (BJP) is ahead of Shyam Bihari Prasad (Congress) 18,010 votes.
Riga: Baidyanath Prasad (BJP) is up against Amit Kumar Singh (Congress). Prasad is leading by 19,556 votes.
Bathnaha (SC): BJP’s Anil Kumar Ram is leading by 23,095 votes. Congress leader Naveen Kumar is trailing behind.
Benipatti: Vinod Narayan Jha from the BJP is leading with 20,300 votes while Congress leader Nalini Ranjan Jha is trailing behind.
Forbesganj: Vidya Sagar Keshari (BJP) leads with 7,859. Manoj Biswas (Congress) is trailing behind.
Kishanganj: Sweety Singh (BJP) is up against Kamarul Hoda (Congress).Hoda is leading with 12,746 votes.
Kodha: Kavita Devi (BJP) is leading by 22,129 votes and is up against Poonam Paswan (Congress).
Purnia: Vijay Kumar Khemka (BJP) and Jitendra Yadav (Congress ) are up against each other. Khemka is leading with 32,893 votes.
Bhagalpur: Rohit Pandey (BJP) is leading with 3,657 votes. Congress leader Ajit Kumar Sharma is trailing behind.
Begusarai: Kundan Kumar (BJP) is leading with 8,197 votes while Amita Bhushan (Congress) is trailing behind.
Lakhisarai: Vijay Kumar Sinha (BJP) is up against Amaresh Kumar (Congress). Sinha is leading with 13,552 votes.
Biharsharif: Sunil Kumar (BJP) and Omair Khan (INC) are facing each other. Kumar is leading with
28,207 votes.
Kumhrar: Sanjay Gupta (BJP) is up against Indradeep Chandravanshi (Congress). Gupta is leading with 46,368 votes.
Patna Sahib: Ratnesh Kushwaha (BJP) and Shashant Shekhar (Congress) are up against each other. Kushwaha is leading with 39,424 votes.
Bikram: BJP leader Siddharth Saurav won this seat by leading with 5,601 votes. He was up against Congress leader Anil Kumar Singh.
Buxar: BJP’s Anand Mishra is leading with 25,056 seats. Congress leader Sanjay Kumar Tiwari is trailing behind.
Rajpur (SC): Santosh Kumar Nirala (BJP) is leading with 3,640 votes and is up against Vishwanath Ram (Congress).
Hisua: Anil Singh (BJP) is leading with 9,747 votes while Neetu Kumari (INC) is trailing behind.
Wazirganj: Birendra Singh (BJP) and Awadhesh Kumar Singh (Congress) are up against each other. Singh is leading with 12,638 votes.
Gaya Town: Prem Kumar (BJP) won the seat by 26,423 votes. He defeated Congress leader Mohan Srivastava.
Aurangabad: Trivikram Singh (BJP) is leading with 647 votes while Congress leader Anand Shankar Singh is trailing behind.
Lalganj: Sanjay Kumar Singh (BJP) leading with 27,334 votes. He is up against Congress leader Aditya Kumar Raja.
Benipur: Vinod Narayan Jha (BJP) is leading with 9,510 votes. Congress leader Nalini Ranjan Jha is trailing behind.
