The BJP on Saturday appointed Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya as the party’s election in-charge for the upcoming Puducherry Assembly elections, with Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal appointed as co-incharge.
The term of the current Puducherry Legislative Assembly is set to end on June 15 next year. The Union Territory is presently governed by the All India N.R. Congress-led alliance, which includes the BJP.
“BJP national president Jagat Prakash Nadda has appointed Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya as election in-charge and Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal as co-incharge for the forthcoming Puducherry Assembly polls,” said BJP national general secretary Arun Singh in a statement announcing the appointments.
