Bihar hit with earthquake of magnitude 4 hours after Delhi-NCR feels tremors

According to the National Centre for Seismology, earthquake tremors were felt in Bihar’s Siwan at 08.02 am on Monday.

Hours after a magnitude 4.0 earthquake hit Delhi and adjoining regions, separate earthquake tremors were also felt in Bihar and Sikkim.

According to the National Centre for Seismology, earthquake tremors were felt in Bihar’s Siwan at 08.02 am on Monday.

The epicentre was 10 km in depth, it stated.

Another earthquake of magnitude 2.3 hit Sikkim’s Lachung at 08.13 am, at a depth of 5 km.

There were no immediate reports of any damage or injuries due to the earthquakes.

As the Delhi-NCR was hit by a shallow earthquake this morning, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged people in the region to stay calm and follow safety precautions while keeping alert for possible aftershocks.
