Bihar Elections 2025: 'People's trust will be reflected in PM Modi, CM Nitish Kumar tomorrow’s roadshow in Patna' says Piyush Goyal

On RJD chief Tejashwi Yadav's counter to NDA's 1 crore jobs poll-promise, Union Minister Piyush Goyal says, "We didn't say that we will give 1 crore govt jobs. There will be govt jobs, jobs in private sector and there is immense potential abroad for the youth of Bihar. India's talent and skills are being globally recognised...I am confident that the youth of Bihar are so intelligent that they know what Tejashwi Yadav is saying is impossible. Nitish Kumar's promises are trustworthy."

“The love and trust that the people of Bihar have showered on PM Modi and CM Nitish Kumar will be reflected in tomorrow’s roadshow, where both leaders will directly connect with the public," says Union Minister Piyush Goyal on PM Narendra Modi’s scheduled roadshow in Patna.

The Election Commission of India has transferred top officials in the wake of Dularchand Yadav murder case in Bihar's Mokama. This comes after demands of strict implementation of Model Code of Conduct in the poll-bound state.

Addressing an election rally in Darbhanga, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav says, “CM Nitish is a political groom. He knows BJP is using him now and will dump him soon.”

“PM Modi comes here and offers money, what’s all that?... They have been in power for the last 20 years, so why did they not provide jobs then? Ask any woman if she feels safe to go outside. They are afraid because of crimes happening against women, children, Dalits, and others," says Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in Begusarai.

"People of Gopalganj have never voted for RJD since 2002; I am sure they will keep up the trend", says Union Home Minister Amit Shah in virtual address at Gopalganj rally.

"Kidnapping became industry during 'jungle raaj', ransom used to be settled at then CM's house," alleges BJP National President JP Nadda in Bihar.

"They divided people, went to war, but couldn't divert attention from real issues, so stealing votes," Priyanka Gandhi attacks BJP in Bihar's Begusarai at an election rally.

While addressing an election rally in Gopalganj virtually, Union Home Minister Amit Shah says, “...This election is not to elect the MLAs, this will decide the future of Bihar. Who will get the responsbility of Bihar? The one who imposed Jungle Raj in Bihar or the Modi-Nitish duo who worked for development of Bihar."

"BJP leaders criticise Nehru ji, Indira ji, but they do not raise issues like unemployment, migration," claimed Priyanka Gandhi in Bihar.

She alleged, "Privatisation rampant in NDA rule, PM handed over big PSUs to his corporate friends."

Union Minister Amit Shah and BJP president J P Nadda will address several rallies in poll-bound Bihar on Saturday, while Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will also come to the state to participate in two public meetings for the first time after the announcement of assembly elections last month. Vadra will address rallies in Begusarai and Khagaria, a party leader said.

On the Mokama murder case, Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal said, "There is rule of law in Bihar, no matter who the criminal is, they will be punished under the rule of law, only after the investigation report comes can anything be said in detail about this, but the entire administration is keeping an eye on the incident and is taking strict action against the criminals."

On RJD chief Lalu Yadav's tweet regarding the NDA manifesto, he says, "Lalu Yadav probably doesn't know that yesterday all five Pandavas of the NDA had jointly released this manifesto... Lalu Yadav probably has no work; those who have no work will keep condemning such small things like this."

RJD MP Manoj Jha wrote to the Election Commission (EC) on Friday, accusing the Bihar government of violating the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) by transferring money to women under the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana on October 17, 24 and 31.

Jha also said the next proposed date for disbursement is November 7 -- four days before the second phase of polling in Bihar.

"I am writing to lodge a formal and strong protest against the brazen violation of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) by the government of Bihar through the direct cash transfer of Rs 10,000 to beneficiaries on 17, 24 and 31 October, 2025 under the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana," Jha said in his letter to the EC.

Five days before the first phase of the Bihar Assembly polls, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday, in a video message, highlighted his government's achievements for the past two decades, saying he did all the work for the people with honesty and hardwork.

Nitish Kumar slammed the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) for 'jungle raj' (lawlessness) during its 15-year-rule, saying the NDA government worked to improve law and order and ensured that women could travel alone safely at night.

Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Rohini Acharya on Friday launched a scathing attack on the NDA's Manifesto for the Bihar assembly election. She described the NDA's poll promises as an "old wine in a new bottle".

Union Minister and BJP chief JP Nadda, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, Union Minister and Hindustan Awam Morcha (Secular) custodian Jitan Ram Manjhi, Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan, Rashtriya Lok Morcha chief Upendra Kushwaha and other key leaders jointly released the NDA's manifesto 'Sankalp Patra' on Friday.
