Bihar BJP president Dilip Jaiswal, who broke down as he watched Prime Minister Modi speak about the alleged abuse at his late mother, has slammed the Congress and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) saying there can be no bigger sin than abusing the late mother of Prime Minister Modi. Jaiswal said Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and RJD's Tejashwi Yadav have brought "shame" to "the land of Bihar."

"Today, Prime Minister Modi gave financial help to the mothers and sisters of Bihar to make them self-reliant. 20 lakh mothers and sisters were listening to Prime Minister Modi...There can be no bigger sin than abusing the late mother of Prime Minister Modi from the platform of Congress and RJD. Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav have shamed the land of Bihar," he told news agency ANI.

Saying he also got emotional, Jaiswal remarked, "One should not stoop so low to get power..."

Since the row erupted over alleged abusive remarks at Voter Adhikar Rally in Bihar against the him and his late mother Heeraben Modi, the Prime Minister spoke about the "abuses" for the first time on Tuesday addressing a gathering in Delhi.

The PM spoke about the alleged abuses while virtually inaugurating a new cooperative initiative for the women associated with self-help groups in the poll-bound state.

At the event in Patna, PM Modi responded to the derogatory remarks on him and his late mother at Voter Adikhar Rally last month.

Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal broke down as he watched PM Modi speak. PM Modi said for a mother, there is nothing bigger than her children. "I have also seen my mother like that, she brought me and my siblings up with great difficulty. My mother would try to prevent roof from leaking during the rains so that we can sleep peacefully," PM Modi said.

After a man was arrested for allegedly making objectionable remarks against PM Modi and his mother during INDIA bloc’s Voter Adhikar Yatra, on Tuesday he said his “dead mother” was abused from RJD-Congress stage.

“My dead mother, who had nothing to do with politics, who is no more, was dragged into politics. My mother was abused from the dais of RJD-Congress, I never imagined it would happen; it was an insult to mothers and daughters of Bihar. Abuse hurled at my mother left me in deep pain,” the PM said while launching the Bihar Rajya Jeevika Nidhi Saakh Sahkari Sangh Limited via video conferencing.

A video clip on floated on social media last week, showing some unidentified people using a Hindi abuse for PM Modi from a dais raised during 'Voter Adhikar Yatra' in poll-bound Bihar.

The PM said in the INDIA bloc rally "slangs" were used against his mother. "In Bihar, slangs were used for my mother from an RJD-Congress stage. These slangs have not just insulted my mother, but every mother and sister in India. I know you are pained as much as I am after you heard this," said the PM.

PM Modi further added, “…My mother separated me from her so that I could serve crores of mothers like you. You all know that now my mother is not alive. Some time ago, after completing 100 years of age, she left us all. That mother of mine, who has nothing to do with politics, who is no more, was abused from the stage of the RJD, Congress. Sisters and mothers, I can see your faces; I can only imagine the pain you must have felt. I can see tears in the eyes of some mothers. This is very sad, painful…”

Senior Congress leader Pawan Khera said BJP's "agents" entered the Congress event and used slang to raise a political storm. "They are frustrated over our yatra. They want to divert attention."

A massive political row erupted after a video from Bihar's Darbhanga district showed a group of youngsters screaming abusive words against the Prime Minister on a stage with photographs of Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav. Several Congress supporters were seen standing with party flags near the stage.

After the video was widely circulated on social media, the BJP said it was a new low in politics. "This has crossed all limits of insult, hate and crassness. This is such a mistake that even if Rahul and Tejashwi hold their ears and perform a thousand squats to apologise, the people of Bihar won't forgive them. Extremely shameful," the BJP said on X.
