Bihar Elections 2025 Live Updates: Final phase of voting tomorrow; Check exit poll details for NDA, Mahagathbandhan, Jan Suraaj

On being asked about being BJP’s “Lucky Mascot” for Bihar polls, Dharmendra Pradhan told ANI that while the tag “sounds good,” it does not reflect ground reality. He emphasised that in every election, the focus is on strengthening the party according to the state’s political dynamics.

Pradhan highlighted that the NDA has had a presence in Bihar for 30 years and that Nitish Kumar has served as  Chief Minister for the same period.

"Bihar will become the most developed state... It saw no success in the last 20 years... Now, after November 14, Bihar will list out its success... There will be food processing units, agro-based industry, facilities for education, medical and opportunities to earn money. There will be IT hubs and educational cities. Superspeciality hospitals will be built. We will make sure no Bihar has to go to other state..." says RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav.

A day before polling for the second and final phase of the Bihar Assembly polls, the Congress on Monday said this time the Mahagathbandhan government is certain in the state and its guarantees will be implemented as soon as it comes to power.

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge said the Mahagathbandhan government will liberate Bihar from 20 years of "helpless governance".

UP Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya says, "There is a one-sided wave. In the first phase, we are winning 85% of the seats. In the second phase, we are hopeful of even better results. People trust PM Narendra Modi and NDA CM Nitish Kumar. Our alliance is like 5 pandav and the strength of all parties has united. Mahagathbandhan is fragmented. Rahul Gandhi will not let Tejashwi Yadav become the CM at any cost."

"Rahul Gandhi was born with a golden spoon. He does not know the country. Those who have choked the Gen Z since the beginning are now giving advice? What is their right? Being the leader of the Opposition, why does he want to tear down the Constitution? Does he have the right to abuse the Constitution and EC, the Supreme Court and the security forces? He comes from an affluent family. He thinks what he says must happen. The Gen Z is breaking this arrogance,' said Dharmendra Pradhan, in an interview with ANI,  on Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi's 'Gen Z' remark.

"Calling Nitish Kumar mercurial is an injustice to him. He is mature and firm-minded. He has an independent opinion on certain things, and we respect that... "There are 2.75 crore families in Bihar. Bihar's budget is around Rs 3 lakh crores. Salary for 2.75 crore would be Rs 12-15 lakh crores. It is like promising to give sun, moon and stars. The youth of Bihar want to become financially independent and the youth know who can do that. Those who snatched away land and whose politics are limited only to their family, can they do it? When PM Modi says that two brothers (PM Modi and Nitish Kumar) will develop Bihar, it gives an assurance to the people of Bihar,"  said BJP Bihar election incharge Dharmendra Pradhan on RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav's promise to provide a government job in every house.

"As far as Nitish Kumar's health is concerned, he is travelling 250 kms every day. In the last two months, I have been in constant touch with him. I have known him for the last 20-25 years and I see no difference. How can we assess someone's health based on their age? There is absolute unity, understanding and trust among all the parties of the NDA," said Union Minister and BJP Bihar Election incharge, Dharmedra Pradhan on CM Nitish Kumar.

Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan expressed optimism about the NDA's chances of forming a strong government in Bihar, following the peaceful conclusion of the election campaign. Speaking to the media in Patna on Sunday, Paswan credited the efforts of party workers and the public's faith in the double-engine government for the NDA's prospects. "I am happy that the election campaign in Bihar has concluded in a very peaceful manner. Everyone has put in their full effort and hard work based on their capacity, taking their messages to the public... Somewhere in the minds of the people of Bihar, there is faith in our double-engine government... I believe that we are going to form a strong government," Chirag Paswan told reporters on Sunday. -- ANI

The exit polls on Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 including projections on result will be released after 6 pm once the voting concludes in the second and final phase of the elections.

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and BJP leader Samrat Choudhary on Sunday said that Nitish Kumar will continue to remain Chief Minister after NDA returns to power in the state. Addressing a press conference in Patna, Bihar Deputy CM said, "I am a political worker of the BJP. There is no vacancy here (in NDA). Nitish Kumar is the Chief Minister today and will remain so." -- ANI

Various India-Nepal border points have been closed for 72 hours ahead of the second phase of the Bihar Assembly election scheduled for November 11. "The election is scheduled to be held on 11 November in Bihar, India. From a security perspective, we have halted border crossings," Mahottari Assistant Chief District Officer, Sanjay Kumar Pokhrel. "All border points in Mahottari district have been sealed. The border points were closed from 6 pm yesterday (Saturday)," he added. -- ANI

BJP leader Ashwini Choubey on Sunday exuded confidence in the NDA's win in the Bihar Assembly election with a massive majority. He also appealed to the voters to turn out in the second phase of the election. "I think we are at 70% and the rest are all at 30%. The NDA government is going to be formed with a massive majority. I appeal to the people of Bihar to vote in large numbers," Ashwini Choubey told ANI. "The NDA government will be formed and Nitish Kumar will become the Chief Minister again," he added.
