A marketing professional was found dead at his apartment in Bengaluru on Sunday, according to a report by India Today.

The police have filed an Unnatural Death Report (UDR) in connection with the case. A report by  India Today stated that Prashanth Nair (40) was a senior sales and marketing manager at Lenovo. He lived in Bengaluru’s Chikkabanavara with his wife, Pooja Nair, an employee at Dell. The couple also have an eight-year-old daughter.

Prashanth’s father M N Kutty told PTI that there was discord between his son and Pooja and they were living separately for some time.

In his complaint to the police Kutty said that his son and daughter-in-law were living separately. Prashanth allegedly had an argument with his estranged wife on Friday after which his father tried to reach him over the phone. As his calls went unanswered, Kutty  reached Prashanth's house and found him hanging from the ceiling fan.

A case has been registered at Soladevanahalli Police Station and investigating is underway.

In January, a 34-year-old techie, Atul Subhash, from Uttar Pradesh died by suicide at his Bengaluru residence, leaving behind a 24-page note and a 1.5-hour long video recording. In the note and the video, the techie accused his estranged wife and her family of harassment and filing false cases against him. He also hung a placard in his house that read, "Justice is Due."

In another incident on March 28, a techie in Bengaluru allegedly murdered his wife, stuffed her body into a suitcase, and fled to Pune. Police said that the wife’s inability to find a job was the reason behind the crime.
